Alex King describes herself as the black sheep of the family who wanted freedom, flexibility and creativity rather than a nine-to-five. With a camera in hand she travelled the world and turned her passion for photography into a living. “Photography took my life to a whole new place and level, somewhere I could be freely and expressively myself.”
With more than ten years’ experience, Alex has found her voice as an outspoken Indigenous photographer and storyteller, sharing narratives and images of Pacific and Indigenous communities with the world. Based in Rarotonga, Cook Islands, Alex King Photography specialises in portrait, wedding, documentary and storytelling photography.
