Hangi-ng with Cody Stephens

After advertising fabrication work on Kiwi Facebook pages in Australia, Cody Stephens found lots of people wanted hāngī baskets. After making a few he built a cooker, loved the hāngī from it and how easy it was to use, and Kiwi Cookers was born. The smoker/steamer offers an innovative take on a traditional style of cooking, and takes its name from what an Aussie workmate used to call it.

Kiwi Cookers is the only Australian-based business making hāngī cookers. Cody’s advice: “If you don’t like climbing their ladder, go and build your own.”
