Natalie Fa’aofo took a leap of faith to start Vai Pasifika Inspired, named for her grandmother Vaiana, whose love of jewellery sparked the idea. The business brings the beauty of the Pacific into your ear with unique wooden carved earrings, delicate enough for everyday wear and striking at any occasion.
One of only two small businesses in the world selling the styles of earring it makes, Vai Pasifika Inspired is run alongside motherhood. Natalie keeps learning through workshops and networking, and has learned not to compare her small business to anyone else’s. Her motto: “Always be the hardest worker in the room.”
